Well, the reason for not updating is that i've been quite tired of late. I'm so sorry but work is sucking me dry.
i'm working on a series of photos for WT as she wants something 'special' for her 21st. It's really exciting and i bet you guys will be looking forward to the photos as well.


another note, i can't wait to travel again! Go see the world! It's still beautiful afterall.

all in a day's work

getting my paper work, editing photos, collecting payment, sending pictures for printing... woo. what a day.

so, i met 2 clients today to return them their wedding pictures i took last month.

after shooting a 14 hour wedding, and 30 hours of editing, the end product is finally here! and i was reviewing the pictures together with them.. it's such a joy to see your work being appreciated and they raving about the nice pictures you took for them and all the hard work seems to pay off!

looking forward to more of such weddings ahead!

it was a blast shooting damien and juin's wedding. firstly it was a hot date! i received more than 5 requests to shoot their actual day weddings.. but sadly, i can't be at all these places at the same time!

and i'm editing the pictures now! for now, a picture i took with the bridesmaid! i was really reluctant to do the waxing but she insisted and i just had to oblige! now i have a smooth clean 'football field'.. hehe..

my first time.

i had my first candlelight dinner yesterday! it was totally unexpected because i haven't been to that restaurant before!
only read about it at HGW in the morning and called for a reservation straightaway.

i must say that ambience is really nice, with some soft music and tucking in to nice italian food. of cos good companion does make it even better.

4th week into the industry

it's my 4th week.. more shit to come, more shit to expect.. i will persevere! this is a really tough road as most successful photogs will always say. but God i believe You can help me through this! it's a road of hard work, humility and lots of decisions. please guide me through this path!

lighting, viewing images at 100% closeups has been becoming a pet peeve of a photographer.. checking for focus.. i think i have developed a 'feetish' to shoot shoes and buying shoes..

well, i do miss the church camp days. i wished everyday were so carefree, eating and going for services. and playing games in the afternoon!

back to singapore, back to reality. work has been quite uncertain. i'm not really sure if i can make it in this 2-3 years i'm gonna give myself, but i'm sure God has a plan and God can make this happen!

Thoughts and motivation..

I had my first day of freelance work at a commercial studio. I didn't really know what to expect before i went. When i reached the studio, i was introduced to photographers and started work immediately. Setting up lights etc.. It was interesting as i've never seen how a product shoot goes before.

But as the shoot took place, i felt my legs were so tired form 3-4 hours of standing and felt like giving up! There were so much sai kang to do. Clean the product, serve the clients coffee, bring the products back and forth when they were so heavy! Wash the cups, sweep the floor, i really felt like a cleaner there. Yes, they told me it's alot of hard work but i didn't expect such hard work! I thought it'll be working hard to strive for better pictures and immense creativity juice, not hard LABOUR! And i think to myself i can't assist too long in this! I'll go crazy!

thankfully i was told that i'll be given chances along the way to shoot as i feel more confident. It really trains me as i made so many boo-boos today. I can't set up a c-stand properly, don't know how to detach a digital back. Looking ahead, i so swear to be #1 and will remember all the hardwork i went through!

Some aquaintances just need to get lost and stop being so hypocritical. I have no interest/time/energy to entertain you.

The moment

I can't imagine in just a few days time, when i wake up, it's ORD. Yes, they say when you look back, 2 years is actually a short time. But it felt like almost eternity for me. I've never liked NS and will never want to repeat this if given any chance.

lots of stories to tell, lots of shit we have to suffer. The times when we were still new recruits in BMT, and i find it so funny when i hear long hair-ed recruits call sergeants and sirs. I was not used to it as i wasn't in any uniformed groups. Times when terence was such a clown during his performances and SOC. Times when my PCs were so obliging to let us powder them just before we POP. Then came medic course. I kinda dreaded it because i've heard of the horrendously long needles which we'll have to practise with at BUDDY level. I swear my buddy was the least interested to pass out as a medic and he just poked me for the sake of it! Medic course was fun and yeah, we were bloody proud. I love the moment when my mum doned on the medic armband for me.
then came dirty SCE. I didn't know what to expect. I shan't say much about this because i totally hate this place. Cept for the 'swine flu' nights.

and in a few days, i'll be looking forward to a next phase in life. I'm totally excited as to what God's gonna do and i believe that cactus was divinely planned! Shortly one week after i signed contract, i had 3 other offers from other studios.

egg fried rice with egg and bak kua

this is one of my favourite way of eating fried rice. every grain must be coated with eggs! and i cooked this myself! i figured that if i didn't want to work as a photographer, i'll most probably go into culinary although it's alot more work. do u know that a good chef who is not fat, is not good? it makes sense! u eat your own cooking. not nice? cook again and eat again.
whole day long, cook eat cook eat cook eat cook eat cook eat. niceee!
